Happy 901 Day: Here’s a List of Free Events In Memphis Today

In Memphis, September 1st is 901 Day, a citywide party full of free events and discounts you don’t want to miss. Here’s what you can expect today.

The Memphis Grizzlies are hosting their first-ever “901 Day Grizz Bash” today from 5-8 PM on the front steps of the FedEx Forum. Fans will get to experience performances by Memphis-based artists the Royal House Band, 8Ball & MJG, Big Boogie, and Duke Duece. There will also be food trucks, wrestling, face painting, inflatables, and the 901 Sneaker Fest.

901 Day Grizz Bash

The University of Memphis Athletics  “Tigers on Tour” 901 Day event will be held at the Grind City Brewery on Sept 1. The event will include speeches from Tiger football head coach Ryan Silverfield, women’s basketball head coach Katrina Merriweather, and baseball head coach Kerrick Jackson. The brewery will have a dedicated kids zone, lawn games, as well as food trucks, and drinks. The first 50 of-age guests will also receive a free beer.

The Edge District will be home to two 901 Day celebrations. The first-ever Rockwalk hosted by the Edge district will be held Thursday from 5PM-9PM. Rockwalk will be “a free event series that celebrates Memphis’ rich musical talent and its roots in the Edge, amazing local businesses, and all the cool things happening in this eclectic neighborhood.” End the night in the Ravine with Choose 901‘s first ever 901 Day Party, hosted from 5PM-11PM.

Railgarten is hosting, “901 Fest”, a four-day music festival full of Memphis-based artists from September 1-4. You can find tickets by following the link here.

A Taste of Memphis, a celebration of local neighborhoods, will be held at the Liberty Bowl on Tiger Lane from 5PM-10PM.

Saucy Chicken: All Burger and Seafood Combos for $9.01 all day. $2 off all other combos.
