Rick Thompson, a former host on the IBEW Labor Agenda Radio Talk Show for over 10 years, is a graduate from Whitehaven High School. He served for 3 years in the U.S. Army and 2 and a half years in the Tennessee National Guard. For just over 44 years, Rick worked at Memphis Light, Gas and Water (MLGW) and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW). He was Union Business Manager for the IBEW union for 19 years and 9 months. Before that, he worked in the Gas, Water, General Service and Electric departments at MLGW.
