2 Airport Cops Hit By Car; Suspect is Black Man with Dreadlocks

Passengers described a terrifying scene at Memphis International Airport when a motorist slammed into a pair of airport police officers outside baggage claim. A third officer reportedly fired a shot as the suspect fled the scene.
“Ambulance, fire department, they were on top of it, making sure everyone was safe. They were taking down information and got the gentleman that hit his head on out of here,” eyewitness Jackie Mabry told Fox 13. “We need to pray for our city because it’s getting rougher out here. It’s getting rougher.”
The officers were taken to the hospital with minor injuries, an MPD spokesperson said.

The suspect is described as a black male with short dreadlocks wearing a red jacket, black jeans and red shoes.
He was last seen driving a black 2008 Nissan Maxima with red and yellow writing on the windshield and damage to the driver’s side door.
