DeSoto County residents won’t vote for their next Sheriff until the year after next. However, one candidate has already declared his intention to become the county’s next top cop.
DeSoto Times-Tribune writer Mark Randall joined Tim Van Horn on “Wake Up Memphis” today. Mark says District 5 Supervisor Michael Lee has already made an official announcement to enter the Sheriff’s race. Randall outlines Lee’s background of service in DeSoto County. Though he hasn’t officially remarked, it is believed that current Sheriff Bill Rasco will not run for office again.
