Three teens have been charged for shoplifting which turned into a officer-involved shooting at Academy Sports in Collierville Tuesday.
According to Collierville Police, Keshun Lee, 18, Rebecca Bruce, 19, and a third unidentified male, 17, face theft of property and tampering with evidence charges.In an affidavit obtained by KWAM, the teens were caught stuffing ammunition into their clothes around 5:30 p.m. at the Academy Sports on Byhalia Road. An officer was called to the store, and the teens took off in a car.
When officers tried to block the thieves from getting away in a car, one of the teens allegedly drove towards the officer attempting to block the vehicle.
The officer fired his gun at the car. No one was injured.
