Memphis has a diverse culinary scene and offers a variety of cultural festivals. Whatever your mood is, Memphis has food that’ll satisfy any craving.

One of the standout festivals in the 901 includes the Italian Winterfest. After taking a hiatus due to the coronavirus pandemic, the festival is back and bigger than ever.

Tony Barrasso, founder of the Italian Winterfest, and Frank Gattuso, the festival’s operational director, joined “Wake Up Memphis” with host Ben Deeter to talk about the festival’s backstory and what guests can expect this year at a new location.

As the name suggests, the Italian Winterfest in Cordova offers a variety of Italian fixings. From pasta to pizza, they’ve got you covered. But, the festival doesn’t just offer food from places like Folk’s Folly and Andrew Michael, it will also showcase unique musical stylings and local vendors.

“We’re going to have some great food, some great wine and a lot of fun and Italian music,” Gattuso said.
