Shelby County District Attorney Amy Weirich responded to criticism levied by opponent Steve Mulroy about her election headquarters’ location.  Mulroy recently called Weirich’s choice of space in Germantown “tone-deaf.”

District Attorney Weirich told KWAM that her headquarters, located at the corner of Poplar & Kirby, is not in an area insulated from crime.  Weirich pointed out there have been “high profile” murders nearby.  She then fired back at Mulroy, saying his headquarters is “right across the street from some of the priciest homes in this county.”

Weirich also talked about the importance of Tennessee’s passage of “Truth-In-Sentencing” legislation.
