House Speaker Nancy Pelosi accused President Trump of letting Americans die from the Chinese virus.
“As the president fiddles, people are dying,” Pelosi told CNN’s Jake Tapper.Tapper should have fact-checked the speaker on-air and then he should have immediately called out her lies. But, he did not.
In truth President Trump is doing everything humanly possible to find a cure for the disease and provide much-needed supplies to hospitals across the country.
“Speaker Pelosi when you say the president’s denial was deadly, he obviously downplayed the risks of coronavirus for several weeks, and it wasn’t until I think about two weeks ago that he started acknowledging the gravity of the crisis. Are you saying his downplaying ultimately cost American lives,” Tapper asked.
Yes, Pelosi said.“I’m saying that because when he made — the other day, when he was signing the bill, he said, just think, 20 days ago everything was great. No, everything wasn’t great. We had nearly 500 cases and 17 deaths already. And in that 20 days, because we weren’t prepared, we now have 2,000 deaths and 100,000 cases. So again, we really want to work in a unifying way to get the job done here. But we cannot continue to allow him to continue to make these underestimates of what is actually happening here.”
Pelosi then made a veiled reference to what could be looming in Washington, D.C.
“The president, his denial at the very beginning, was deadly,” she said. “What did he know and when did he know it,” she asked. “That’s for an after-action review.”It sounds like Speaker Pelosi is setting the stage for yet another round of investigations.
Trish Regan, the former Fox Business Network host, tried to warn Americans that the ultimate goal of the Democrats was to use the Chinese virus outbreak to impeach the president. It turns out Ms. Regan may have been right all along. Stay tuned, good readers.
