A bomb explosion in a Germantown neighborhood last night has residents on edge this morning.

Germantown police were called to the area of Farmington and Cordes after reports of an explosion Wednesday evening.

One bomb detonated; the other bomb was defused by the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office bomb squad.

“The police and bomb squad have left. Terrible experience, they said we were safe, but there is a weird smell,” one resident wrote.

Police have not said if any suspects have been arrested or a possible motive. However, people who live in the neighborhood say they saw teenagers fleeing the scene in a white pickup truck.
