VIDEO: Thugs Try to Kidnap Female Shopper at Saddle Creek

DEVELOPING STORY: Germantown Police are searching for two men who tried to kidnap a woman in the parking lot at Saddle Creek, KWAM NewsTalk Memphis has learned.
“Two male black suspects physically detained a woman as she attempted to enter her vehicle in the parking lot,” Germantown Police told KWAM. “The suspects were confronted by a bystander and subsequently released the victim.”
An eyewitness posted details of the attempted abduction on a social media page. She said her husband heard screams and ran to retrieve his gun.
“That man is a hero,” said KWAM radio host Todd Starnes.
The victim sustained minor injuries. Watch video of the attack below.

“The suspects then entered a silver four door car occupied by a third male black suspect and fled north bound on Germantown Rd,” police said.
The attack happened as there is growing concern that the out-of-control crime in war-torn Memphis is spilling over into the suburbs. In recent weeks, dozens of vehicles have been stolen and vandalized across the city.
And on Tuesday two people were shot outside “Big Bad Memphis,” a popular eatery near the Germantown city limits.
Award-winning chef and owner John Currence said he, too, was alarmed at the crime wave.
“Memphis has always been a little bit of a concern for us. I continued to hear stories in the last year about growing problems in the city,” Currence told television station WREG. “Somewhere as safe as Germantown, East Memphis area has been historically, that all the sudden this becomes a reality in the daytime is nauseating.”
