DEVELOPING: FBI officials conducted a search warrant at the home of Memphis City Councilman Edmund Ford Sr. Thursday.

Federal agents were seen going into a home owned by the councilman, a source told KWAM.

An FBI spokesperson confirmed a search warrant had been issued at 917 Summer Shade Lane, an address that is associated with Shelby County Commissioner Edmund Ford Jr., the Daily Memphian reports.

“That’s my home. I don’t need to talk to you right now,” Ford Sr. told a local reporter.

KWAM reached out to both Councilman Ford Sr. and Commissioner Ford Jr. We are still waiting to hear back.

The Ford family have been a long-standing political dynasty in Memphis for decades, but now with their fair share of scandals. In 2021, Ford Jr faced criminal investigations for violating the county’s financial ethics code.
