DEVELOPING STORY: At least three people have been detained in the shooting of a Memphis police officer.
The officer was responding to a call near Geeter K-8 School on Horn Lake Road when he was shot.A fellow police officer rushed the fallen cop to Regional One Hospital. The injured officer is in critical condition.
Another officer, who was on the way to the crime scene, was involved in a car crash. That officer was transported to Regional One in non-critical condition.
Police say the suspect is a black man driving a silver Infinite QX40. The car has a chrome license plate: TN2X45F8.
