MPD confirmed to KWAM that four juveniles and a man were shot on I-240,
At 5:12 p.m., officers responded to a shooting near 240 West and Poplar Avenue.
Three juveniles and one adult were transported by private vehicle to Baptist East and are all listed in critical condition.Officers located the suspect vehicle in the area and began to pursue.
An officer wrecked out in the 3500 block of James. He is uninjured.
Additional officers continued to pursue the suspect vehicle in the area of Mahue Drive and E. Lakeland Drive, where the suspect wrecked.
After a brief foot chase, two individuals were detained. The cause of the initial shooting is undetermined at this time. The investigation is ongoing.Follow us on social media for updates.
