An arrest affidavit accuses Gordon of pulling a gun on a 12-year-old girl to kidnap her and force her into his 2018 Ford Escape before raping her on April 13, Fox 13 reports.

Police said neighborhood cameras caught Gordon stalking Silver Street and letting the girl out of his car at the place where he abducted her 15 minutes after sexually assaulting her.

Laderio Gordon, 29, was charged with rape of a child and especially aggravated kidnapping, among other charges.

A neighbor told the outlet the police “should have been more active, and let us know so we could have been more prepared instead of us letting these kids walk to school. These kids was walking to school and walking home not knowing that it’s a man riding around here kidnapping people.”

Police said the investigation is still active and ongoing.
