It’s been nearly two weeks since the shooting at the Kroger at New Byhalia and Poplar in Collierville. Organizers say response has been overwhelming.
Mollie Walker, Co-Organizer of a Collierville Kroger Victim Relief Fund, joined Wake Up Memphis today. She explained the level of generosity shown by the community and which company made a one million dollar donation! In fact the amount of giving has been so great, a national organization has been brought in to maintain oversight of the funds’ distribution. Walker said doing this will better ensure donations reach the victims.
