It’s been one week since the horrific shooting at the Kroger on New Byhalia Rd in Collierville.

Vice Mayor Maureen Fraser joined Wake Up Memphis today.  She talked about arriving on the scene moments after the call.  She detailed the response by police, fire & other emergency personnel.  Fraser also shared a story about the family of Olivia King, the woman shot and killed in the attack.

For many in Collierville, the journey ahead likely includes mourning and time to heal.  City leaders hope people inside and outside the Town limits will help.

Town Mayor Stan Joyner issued a Proclamation yesterday, asking Mid-Southerners to observe a moment of prayer or meditation at 1:30pm today.  That

time is significant.  It was the moment the emergency call was received, alerting police of an active shooter at the popular grocery store.

Listen to the entire interview below, including the Vice Mayor’s message of hope.
