Since January more than 3,000 cars have been stolen in the Bluff City. Many motorists have been victimized by roaming gangs of teenagers – some as young as 12-years-old.
And that’s exactly what happened the other day when an unidentified Memphis mom discovered that her car had been stolen. To make matters even worse — inside the car was her daughter’s Easter basket.And that’s when the responding police officer decided to do something about this great injustice.
“Officer Tran learned that the victim left her daughter’s Easter basket inside her vehicle,” the Memphis Police Dept. said in a statement. “Officer Tran replaced the basket ensuring the girl still received an Easter treat.”
Officer Tran’s kindness is a wonderful reminder of the good-hearted nature of so many men and women in blue.“Thank you Officer Tran for going beyond the call of duty to spread a little holiday happiness,” the police department said.
