Debate Night!

KWAM will host a live debate Monday night featuring all four Republican candidates in the Ninth Congressional District race.

State Sen. Brent Taylor, State Rep. Todd Warner, Charlotte Bergmann and Jeremy Thompson have confirmed their participation. The debate will focus primarily on Memphis-centric issues including the Memphis Safe Task Force and District Attorney Steve Mulroy’s recent editorial about police officers.

Candidates will also be asked to address the controversy surrounding Memphis-Shelby County Schools as well as the role Congress could play in reversing the mass exodus of citizens from the city.

The debate format will be more conversational and will also include calls from KWAM listeners. The debate starts at 6 p.m. and will conclude at 7:30 p.m. Listeners who would like to call in questions should dial 901-260-5926.

The debate will be broadcast on 990 AM, 107.9 FM and will be streamed on KWAMRadio.com as well as the KWAM App. The debate will also be aired on Facebook Live, YouTube and Rumble.
