Michael Lee told KWAM Wednesday his years in law enforcement have prepared him for latest endeavor, DeSoto County Sheriff.
“God has put me in positions in my life to make me who I am today,” Lee told Wake Up Memphis hosts Todd Starnes and Ben Deeter.
Lee rose through the ranks from a certified law enforcement officer to assistant chief deputy of the Desoto County Sheriff’s Department.“I have worked every position in that Sheriff’s department that there is,” he said.

Lee is currently serving out the rest of his term as the DeSoto County Board of Supervisors President, overseeing a $287 million budget.
