The homes of Shelby County Sheriff Floyd Bonner, Shelby County Commissioner Mark Billingsley and several other pro-police lawmakers were vandalized overnight.

The vandals covered driveways with pink paint and littered laws with flyers that read, “Defund the police.”

Billingsley said in a statement to KWAM The Mighty 990 that the attack will not sway his efforts to “improve our community, nor change my heart.”

“Vandalizing our home and scaring my family is a really poor way to communicate a message,” the commissioner told KWAM The Mighty 990. “My faith tells me to pray for the people that did this and that is what I will do.”Chairman

In addition, similar incidents are under investigation at Shelby County Commissioner Amber Mills’ residence and another commissioner’s home, WREG reports.

Last month a rampaging mob surrounded the home of District Attorney Amy Weirich — burning her American flags and shooting fireworks at the roof of her house.

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation is handling the case, a source tells KWAM The Mighty 990.

The investigation is ongoing, and no suspects have been arrested.
