Dr. Anthony Fauci says the Chinese virus outbreak could kill between 100,000 to 200,000 Americans.
“Looking at what we’re seeing now, I would say between 100,000 and 200,000” deaths, Fauci told CNN’s “State of the Union.” “We’re going to have millions of cases.”
He told CNN that worst case scenario there could be as many as two million dead Americas but that estimate is “almost certainly off the chart” and “very, very unlikely.”“It’s such a moving target that you could so easily be wrong and mislead people,” Fauci told CNN’s Jake Tapper. “We’ve got a serious problem in New York, we’ve got a serious problem in New Orleans and we’re going to have serious problems in other areas.”
