The Covid-related omnibus bill, passed during the Tennessee General Assembly’s Special Session, has left some residents disappointed and frustrated.  Tennessee Stands Executive Director Gary Humble talked to Tim Van Horn about the good, the bad, and the ugly within the bill.

Humble explained that the bill will end a family-hostile doctrine brought to light earlier this year.  The “Mature Minor Doctrine” has been allowing medical providers to administer vaccines without parental consent to children as young as seven years old.

He also explained how businesses, rather than Tennessee’s citizens, may have received top priority in key areas of the bill.

Gary Humble noted that the bill does not guarantee the freedoms it advertises to protect for a long period.  He specified how quickly the bill expires.
