Carrie Schween is the latest mom to step up and run for school board to reclaim public education in Germantown.

The conservative mother of three is hoping to boot incumbent school board chair Angela Griffith out of Position 4 on the Germantown School Board.

The political newcomer is a life-long resident of Germantown, graduating from Germantown High in 1996. All three of her children are currently enrolled in Germantown Municipal Schools.

Upset Germantown parents showed up to the school board meeting following the masking guidelines to voice frustration, something Schween said, “Fell on deaf ears.”

“Griffith has failed to address the concerns of many parents during her tenure, and it is time to put someone in Position 4 who understands that parent’s concerns are valid,” Schween said. “I want to be the voice for parents.
