KWAM News Anchor Ben Deeter Wins Buffalo Run 5K

Congratulations to KWAM News Anchor Ben Deeter for his first place finish at the 2021 Buffalo Run 5K at Shelby Farms.
Deeter outpaced more than 300 other runners – finishing the race in just 19 minutes and 33 seconds. Click here to see the full race results.
Starnes Media Group Managing Editor Caleb Parke finished the race in 24 minutes, 45 seconds and KWAM Audio Engineer Kyle Rossiter clocked a 26 minute, 34 second finish.
The race helped raise much-needed funds to support Shelby Farms Park and the Shelby Farms Greenline. It was part of Bison Day celebrations throughout Shelby Farms featuring food trucks and tethered hot air balloon rides.
“I’m incredibly proud of our KWAM running team,” said KWAM owner Todd Starnes. “And we are especially honored to be a part of helping to raise money for Shelby Farms.”
