The Bluff City has two of the top most “Instagramable” spots in Tennessee, according to a recent study by Family Destinations Guide.

Graceland, the home of Elvis Presley, topped the list with over 500,000 Instagram posts being tagged. With the recent Hollywood biopic released last year, the King of Rock and Roll has had a resurgence in popularity yet again.

Meanwhile, with over 200,000 posts, Beale Street took fourth place on the list. The iconic street full of nightclubs, shops and restaurants lies right in the heart of downtown Memphis and attracts thousands of tourists every year.

The rest of the list features the Great Smoky Mountains in east Tennessee in second place, Dollywood comes in third place and Nashville’s Grand Ole Opry is featured fifth.

If barbecue, blues and basketball didn’t give you enough reason to visit the 901, you can now add Instagram to that list.

“New data reveals the most Instagrammable tourist attractions in Tennessee with Elvis Presley’s home, Graceland, taking the top spot.

The research conducted by Family Destinations Guide analyzed Instagram hashtag data to determine which tourist hotspot in Tennessee was the most popular online.

Graceland, the estate of the King of Rock n Roll, Elvis Presley, took the top spot. There are 573,800 posts under Graceland related hashtags on Instagram, more than any other attraction in the state. Graceland reports over 500,000 visitors per year, a figure that could be set to rise after the success of Baz Luhrmann’s box office hit Elvis.

The second most Instagrammable tourist destination in Tennessee is The Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The park has 559,500 posts under the hashtag. Straddling the border between Tennessee and North Carolina, the Great Smoky Mountains sees just over 14 million visitors each year.

Despite being temporarily closed, Dollywood ranks third with 335,400 posts under the Dollywood hashtag. Dollywood is the theme park partly owned by singer Dolly Parton and opened in 1961.

In fourth place is Beale Street. Dubbed ‘the home of the Blues’, Beale Street has played a significant role in the history of black culture and commerce, with nightclubs lining the street that saw artists such as B.B. King, Louis Armstrong and Elvis Presley frequenting them. There are 215,400 posts under Beale Street related hashtags.

Rounding out the top five is the Grand Ole Opry, based in Nashville. Famous for its dedication to honoring country music, the venue has 210,300 posts under the Grand Ole Opry hashtag.
