You can join the Memphis Police Department and discover the next step in your career at the department’s hiring expo this weekend.
MPD Officers Freeman and Brooks joined KWAM’s “Wake Up Memphis” to talk about the expo and how you can join “the Best in Blue.”
“The purpose of this is for the people that are interested in joining us to come in, speak with the recruiters, speak with officers, and fill out the application to start that first process of getting hired with the police department,” Freeman told KWAM.The expo, located in Downtown Memphis, will be open to all this Saturday, June 10, from 11 A.M. to 3 P.M. with free parking.
Brooks shared how being a police officer goes beyond just keeping crime off the streets and how it can personally impact so many lives in the community.
