Hughes: Is Everything in Memphis Going to be Renamed?

No one is safe from the cancel culture mob…not even the environmentalists.
The Memphis City Council is introducing legislation to rename Audubon Park, located in East Memphis, due to the “racist” name.
The historic park was named after naturalist John James Audubon, who passed away in the 1800s. However, Memphis City Councilwoman Patrice Robinson wants the park to be renamed after Miriam DeCosta-Willis, who was a civil rights activist in the 1900s and was the first African-American faculty member at the University of Memphis.

Conservative commentator Scottie Hughes reacted to the proposed changes to the popular city park on “Wake Up Memphis” with Ben Deeter Wednesday.
“Where does it stop?” Hughes said. “Is everything in Memphis going to be renamed for something? And, at some point, when does that become racist? Because, why not just rename the entire city of Memphis?”
