Hughes: Start Funding American Infrastructure, Not Ukraine

Due to a massive outage in the Federal Aviation Administration’s system, thousands of flights this morning were grounded across the country. Thousands of Americans were stranded at airports and left waiting for their flights to be rescheduled. Meanwhile, Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg had no explanation for the disaster.

To talk about the chaos, conservative political contributor Scottie Hughes joined Wake Up Memphis with host Ben Deeter Wednesday morning.

Hughes called it “a major screwup of our transportation department.”

“You have to look at once again at the failed administration’s priorities,” Hughes pointed out.

While the United States is giving aid to Ukraine, Hughes argues that we should be focused on our own infrastructure issues.

On the other hand, she said disasters such as the FAA outage might be on purpose by the government.

“Are they trying to lower our standards?” Hughes asked.
