Things are looking brighter at the FedEx Forum as the Grizzlies are on a winning streak and expecting the return of their superstar point guard Ja Morant this week.

The NBA came to a decision last week to suspend Morant for 8 games, including the ones he had already missed. This came after Morant posted an Instagram Live of himself brandishing a gun at a Denver club on March 4.

He was eligible to return in Monday night’s game against Dallas but was sidelined in order to “return to competition reconditioning”, according to the Grizzlies on Sunday.

He was in attendance for Monday night’s win against the Mavericks, where he was met with a standing ovation.

The expectation among the team is that he will play Wednesday night against Houston.

The Grizzlies have also managed to hold their spot, despite the suspension, as the No. 2 seed in the Western Conference by winning three straight games.
