A cancel culture mob wants to force out popular Memphis meteorologist Joey Sulipeck by declaring him racist, but pastor and weekend host (Saturdays at noon) Frederick Tappan told “Wake Up Memphis” he’s not at fault here.

Fox 13 meteorologist Sulipeck’s tweet about Golden State Warriors player Draymond Green during Game 3 of the Memphis Grizzlies’ playoff series was met with calls for him to be disciplined, even fired from his long-time job.

Sulipeck tweeted:

“And chew on this: Draymond runs his knuckle-dragging open mouth ALL GAME LONG, but mild-mannered Kyle Anderson disputes one call and gets ejected?  Next level jackassery.”

Evan Barnes, sports writer at the once-successful Commercial Appeal, appealed to Fox 13 for action against Sulipeck in a not-so-clean response:

“Emotions are high right now among teams and fans over the play in question but this right here? @joeysulipeck – unacceptable. Memo to @FOX13Memphis – talk to your mans and check him. This is over the line and I won’t stand for it. This is bullsh-t.”

And the leftist Golden State Warriors Head Coach Steve Kerr chimed in:

Fox 13 has taken Joey Sulipeck off the air while conducting a “full investigation.”

Tappan, who is African-American, said it’s not Sulipeck but Barnes who should be defending himself and his job.
