Judge Joe Brown Blames Attack on Masculinity for Rising Violent Crime

Memphis mayoral candidate Judge Joe Brown told KWAM Tuesday the effort to destroy masculinity has led to the rise in violent crime across the city.

The outspoken judge said masculinity gives young men a sense of purpose.

“He doesn’t do drive-bys because he’s trying to protect his place, he’s not trying to do drugs, or suicide by cop or neighbor because he’s got a purpose. And you don’t have that,” Brown explained to “Wake Up Memphis” hosts Ben Deeter and Todd Starnes.

He blasted woke gender ideology that has replaced math and English classes in schools, saying, “When you start pushing that kind of thing that they do in these schools now, where it’s all about sex, sex, sex, and the peculiar type – let’s put it that way.”

Brown referenced the controversial so-called family-friendly drag shows that have made their way to libraries and schools across the nation, as well as the city’s recent LGBTQ Pride parade.

“Even the gays don’t like the idea of some naked folk in a parade, where children are around,” he said.
