Famed Christian singer Amy Grant was injured Wednesday afternoon in a biking accident in Nashville.
The singer/songwriter was riding a bike with a friend when she fell. She was wearing a helmet.She was taken by ambulance to Vanderbilt Medical Center where she was treated in the emergency room for cuts and abrasions, television station WKRN reported.
Television station WSMV reports Grant was riding in Percy Warner Park when she took tumble. She suffered cuts, lacerations and bruises.
She is currently in the hospital in stable condition, the television station reported.
Grant is the wife of country music star Vince Gill.The Kennedy Center recently announced Grant had been selected as part of their 45th class of Honorees – along with U2, Gladys Knight and. George Clooney.
“Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine ever receiving this prestigious Kennedy Center Honor. I cannot wait to celebrate with my fellow honorees, friends and family,” she wrote on Twitter last week. “Thank you for widening the circle to include all of us.”
