Katz: Carlson’s Outing Is Fox News’ First Step to the Left

Fox News is trending towards a rebrand away from its conservative viewership, radio show host Jeff Katz told “Wake Up Memphis” Tuesday.

“Tucker Carlson Tonight” was Fox’s highest-rated show and the most-watched program in all of cable news before Tucker Carlson was fired Monday.

Katz hinted the stunning departure is just the continuing domino effect of a larger shift. Carlson’s outing came just a week removed from news that Dan Bongino also parted ways from Fox News.

“I think they have made that decision, they’re gonna pivot and move further and further away from the conservative viewership,” Katz told KWAM host Ben Deeter. “They certainly have made clear they’re not fans of President Trump. I think you’re gonna see a remake and a rebranding that is probably more in keeping with the ideology of Rupert Murdoch’s sons than with Rupert Murdoch.”
