The Department of Veteran’s Affairs banned The Boy Scouts from setting American flags on the graves of veterans for Memorial Day. While many scientists are saying that the COVID-19 virus doesn’t survive well outdoors, this didn’t stop groups from being barred from the outdoor activity.

“It seems there’s enough ‘distancing’ room for the kids. Lame excuse,” one listener said on The Mighty 990 Facebook Page.

Jen Kerns, a political strategist and nationally-syndicated columnist, spoke with Robin Walensky on “Wake Up Memphis” about this issue and how it affects the nation.

“This not only is unpatriotic and unacceptable,” Kerns said in reference to The Boy Scout ban. “Democrats here are not listening to the science that they so often accuse Republicans of not listening to.”

With state governments enforcing varying degrees of control, many are feeling suffocated by the continuing lockdowns.

“You’re seeing here the most clear example of tyranny versus freedom,” she said. “And it’s playing out in front of Americans’ eyes, and you can see which party stands for which.”
