KWAM Signs Ben Deeter to Long Term Deal

MEMPHIS – Starnes Media Group has re-upped KWAM news anchor Ben Deeter to a long term contract. Deeter will continue to co-host the award-winning “Wake Up Memphis” show as well as anchor the midday news casts.
Deeter joined KWAM in 2021 after graduating from Cedarville University. He’s the winner of multiple Tennessee Association of Broadcasters awards as well as a regional Edward R. Murrow Award.
“Ben is one of the most respected journalists in Memphis because he is not afraid to ask the tough questions,” said KWAM owner Todd Starnes. “He’s one of the best young journalists in the country.”
Deeter will play an integral role in KWAM’s political coverage leading into the 2024 presidential race and he will also lead the station’s nationally-recognized breaking news coverage.
“For Ben Deeter this is a job and passion not a side hustle,” said SMG chief executive officer Dalton Glasscock. “Ben is the only local conservative morning show host in Memphis bringing you the news every day.”
