“We believe in being excellence driven,” Glasscock said. “That means our team goes the extra mile to deliver award-winning news, traffic, weather and talk programming. And we also take extra care to help our sponsors grow their businesses.

Todd Starnes, the owner of KWAM, said the statewide honors are evidence that locally-owned, locally-run radio stations can make a difference.

“When I bought KWAM, I promised the Memphis community that we were going to bring award-winning broadcasting back to the Mid-South,” Starnes said. “I’m incredibly proud of the hard work and dedication of our staff in Memphis.”

“And now The Mighty 990 can rightfully claim its place as the top radio station in the Mid-South,” Starnes said. “It felt pretty great to bring that hardware back to the 901.”
