LATEST: Four Former MPD Officers Charged In Nichols Death Released On Bond

Four out of the five Memphis police officers charged in Tyre Nichols’ death were released on bond.

The four released officers are Justin Smith, Desmond Mills Jr., Tadarrius Bean and Emmitt Martin III. Demetrius Haley is the only officer not released and still on $350,000 bond.

On Thursday, all five former officers turned themselves in and were charged with second-degree murder, aggravated assault, two counts of aggravated kidnapping, two counts of official misconduct and official oppression.
