Memphians are making their way to polling locations across the city Thursday to vote for a new mayor and City Council.

There are 17 candidates vying for the mayor’s office:

Paul Young, Van Turner, Michelle McKissack, Willie Herenton, James Harvey, Reggie Hall, JW Gibson, Karen Camper, Floyd Bonner, Kendra Calico, Brandon Price, Justina Ragland, Tekeva Shaw, Joe Brown, Jennings Benard and Carnita Atwater.

There are contested races for 11 of the 13 seats on the City Council this year.
