Officer Candidate Frank Elgin, US Navy, Officer Candidate Frank Elgin, a Holly Springs, MS, native and 2019 graduate of Ole Miss who is hoping to serve his country as a Naval Flight Officer.
Officer Candidate School, located in Newport, Rhode Island is a grueling 13 weeklong program that will
put Elgin and his classmates to the test morally, mentally, and physically. If he passes and graduates
with his class at the beginning of August, he’ll be commissioned as an Ensign and join the ranks of
Navy’s leadership.
Elgin talked with Wake Up Memphis host Tim Van Horn about his roots and what’s next in his career.
