A major snowstorm is expected to impact most of the Mid-South – including Memphis.

The National Weather Service says the city could expect as much as six inches of snowfall starting Sunday night. The bulk of the storm will hit the region on Monday.

“Travel could be very difficult to impossible,” the NWS said in a statement. “The cold wind chills as low as five below zero could result in hypothermia if precautions are not taken.”

The KWAM Radio newsroom is activated and we will provide you with up-to-the-minute reports throughout the storm.

Be sure to listen to Wake Up Memphis with Tim Van Horn starting at 6 a.m. Monday for more storm details.
