Marsha Blackburn Warns Against Fentanyl-Laced Candy Ahead of Halloween

Senator Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) tweeted a warning to parents about candy laced with fentanyl and other tips to stay safe while trick-or-treating this Halloween season.

She blamed Democrat’s “open border and soft-on-crime policies” on her concerns with the dangerous drug making its way into children’s candy baskets and why many streets aren’t as safe as they were for families.

Some of the tips in her social media post are to only get candy from trusted people, avoid bowls of candy that are unattended, and not to grab candy that has been opened or messed with.

Blackburn also highly encouraged parents to give their children a curfew if they go without them and to make sure there are other adults that are available to check in on them periodically.
