Mayor: Depot Tapping Into Rich History To Become Live Music Hotspot

West Memphis, Arkansas Mayor Marco McClendon joined Wake Up Memphis to discuss a new attraction.  McClendon unveiled the plans for a Music & Blues Depot.

West Memphis is going back to the future.  Artists like Elvis, Johnny Cash, and Johnnie Taylor launched their musical careers on KWAM.  The depot is expected to marry a nod to that rich musical history with new opportunities for live performers.  The Mayor believes the result will be a new Mid-South entertainment destination.
