Mayoral Candidate Jennings Bernard: I’ll Save Memphis from Violent Crime

CEO of the National Probation of America Jennings Bernard joined “Wake Up Memphis” to talk about his platform for running in the Memphis mayoral race.

With violence out of control, Bernard said that the city has “cancer” that needs to be eradicated.

“The city of Memphis needs me, they need a strong leader that can step up to the plate and save this city,” he said.

Bernard was a deputy sheriff for 18 years, and he said he’s seen how the judicial system is working and failing.

“The system, in my opinion, is not doing what’s necessary to these violent offenders,” he told KWAM.
