Makaela Perkins, part of a Memphis group that traveled to Asbury University, shared her experience at the student-led revival with “Wake Up Memphis” host Ben Deeter.
The revival, which started over one week ago, continues in growing numbers. The Kentucky university announced they’re actually having to turn away newcomers, and they’ve been providing food for thousands of attendees during this time.Click here to download the FREE KWAM App to stay up to date on breaking news across Memphis and the Mid-South.
Since the media has been turned away from covering the revival, Perkins traveled from the Mid-South all the way to Asbury to see it for herself.
“What’s different about is it’s not on purpose,” she said, “it just happened because I believe God showed up and it just hasn’t stopped because He hadn’t left.”
She also stopped at Belmont University in Nashville where she witnessed a much smaller gathering.#asburyrevival2023 update from my friend Makaela:
"I have never been so amazed at what God is doing…"They visited the #AsburyRevival and #BelmontRevival over the weekend.
