Memphis leaders are gathering Thursday night to come up with solutions for the city’s out-of-control crime.

Among the listed participants of the 2023 Crime Summit include Memphis City Councilman Chase Carlisle, Shelby County District Attorney Steve Mulroy, Memphis Police Chief C.J. Davis and Tennessee State Senator Brent Taylor.

Taylor joined “Wake Up Memphis” with Ben Deeter Wednesday morning to preview the panel.

He said the summit is a great opportunity for elected officials to be reminded of the crime issues their constituents are facing, as well as an opportunity to share what they are doing to combat the rise in crime.
