Taylor is accused of gunning down Markeith Taylor on Dec. 21.
According to court documents, Markeith Taylor was ordered to get out of his van by four men holding guns. A man later identified as Gary Taylor opened fire.
The gunman fired multiple shots into the victim’s body — even after he was dead.The victim’s body was found in a vacant lot at 660 Wells Avenue.
Court records indicate Gary Taylor is known in the area as “Lil Gary” – a known gang member.
A witness positively identified Taylor in a lineup. The full name of the witness was withheld from court documents due to safety concerns.So why was a known gang member accused of murder allowed to waltz out of 201 Poplar?
