A few months ago, Memphians started reporting a mystery animal on their commute. The appearances have been reported off of I-40 and Appling Road near Bellevue Baptist Church.
Memphis Animal Services’ Katie Pemberton joined “Wake Up Memphis” with Ben Deeter Thursday to discuss the elusive creature and the attempts made to capture it.

They’ve had several officers go on location to try to capture it, but it’s gotten away every time. It’s been difficult because of the animal’s size and the terrain the creature is at makes it difficult to corner it.
“One of our officers said she clocked like two miles on her Apple watch while she was walking around trying to find an area,” Pemberton explained.
The Daily Memphian dubbed the creature the “Memphis GOAT,” reporting that it remains at large.Have you seen the mysterious goat floating around I-40? Or is it a ram?
