Two people were murdered in Memphis overnight.
Officers responded to an armed call around 9 p.m. Monday night near the 600 block of Poplar Avenue. Upon arrival, they found a man beaten to death. Then just minutes earlier, Memphis police were called to an area off Overton Crossing, where a man was gunned down.
