Memphis Mayor Considers Suing Kia, Hyundai for Rise in Car Thefts

Memphis Mayor Jim Strickland is considering suing automakers Kia and Hyundai for making vehicles so easy to steal.
“We are looking at a lawsuit like the other cities are,” Strickland told WREG-TV. “And hopefully we’ll have something to present to the council pretty soon on that issue about hiring a law firm.”
The mayor was referring to cities like Cleveland, Columbus and St. Louis, all who have filed lawsuits against the car manufacturers for not installing anti-theft technology.
