Memphis Mayor Jim Strickland is considering suing automakers Kia and Hyundai for making vehicles so easy to steal.
“We are looking at a lawsuit like the other cities are,” Strickland told WREG-TV. “And hopefully we’ll have something to present to the council pretty soon on that issue about hiring a law firm.”
The mayor was referring to cities like Cleveland, Columbus and St. Louis, all who have filed lawsuits against the car manufacturers for not installing anti-theft technology.Click here to download the free KWAM app so you can listen to our station no matter where you live in the Mid-South.
